En mai 2023, la Baseron de l’artiste Paterne Maestro nous offrait une exclusivité mondiale et insolite : Mc Baba, un rappeur muet en plein freestyle ! La vidéo deviendra rapidement virale et propulsera le duo Paterne Maestro & Mc Baba sous les projecteurs. La sortie de la fameuse chanson est annoncée et des extraits du tournage du clip seront diffusés. Tout était fin prêt pour découvrir un futur hit venu du Congo-Brazza.
Seulement, quelques temps après avoir dégusté un couplet du duo Paterne & Mc Baba dans le remix de « Ni Beto » du rappeur Zuko Ya Deblè, des rumeurs persistantes feront état d’une séparation entre Paterne Maestro & Mc Baba. C’est finalement Mc Baba qui confirmera la rupture à travers plusieurs sorties sur les réseaux sociaux. Du côté de Paterne, c’est plutôt silence radio et surtout la mise en avant de Ya Jean qui était déjà dans les coulisses de la Baseron.
Décembre 2023, le titre « Ya Jean » en feat avec Gaz Mawete sort et confirme la mise en lumière désormais de Ya Jean. Paterne enchaîne en février 2024 avec la sortie de « Peleron » en feat Suspect 95 avec lequel il a accroché lors de son passage remarqué à la Baseron. Tout laissait à croire que Mc Baba c’est désormais de l’histoire ancienne et ainsi s’enterrait tout espoir de voir la fameuse chanson du duo voir le jour. Surprise du chef, le clip de la chanson est dévoilé sur la chaine YouTube de Paterne Maestro le 24 avril 2024 pour le bonheur de tous. Aucune réaction du côté de Mc Baba depuis la sortie de la chanson. Existe-t-il une chance de revoir le duo Paterne & Mc Baba un jour ? Seul le destin nous dira
